I'm an artist and fine art photographer. My art and photography have been exhibited in galleries in California, New Mexico, North Carolina, Washington and Oregon. My studio arts training was through college and university studies and workshops and in private apprenticeship-style education with several prominents artists and photographers over a period spanning about 10 years.

As an artist I am interested as well in arts administration and arts education. I spent three years as a museum educator leading the family artmaking workshops for the Long Beach Museum of Art in Southern California. In addition, I served as artist-teacher for the school educational workshops; and teaching and developing projects for the summer and winter children's art camps and workshops. I also spent five years as a member of the board of a non-profit fine arts organization: as co-editor of the newsletter for the first two years and as Director of Promotion for three years. I was one of the founders of the association's contemporary art gallery, served as a member of the gallery committee for two years, and stepped into the role as Curator and Gallery Director for two years. During my time as Curator, I recruited and built gallery membership and established the annual juried competition for contemporary art exhibited in the gallery.
