About Kathleen Grace
Kathleen Grace is an artist and art photographer in a variety of media, and has exhibited in galleries and exhibitions in California, New Mexico, North Carolina, Washington and Oregon. Grace's studio arts training was through college and university studies and workshops, and in private apprenticeship-style education with several prominent artists and photographers over a period spanning about 10 years.
As an artist Grace is interested as well in arts administration and education. She spent three years as a museum educator leading the family Artmaking Workshops for the Long Beach Museum of Art in Southern California. In addition, Grace was an artist-teacher for the school educational workshops; teaching, leading and developing projects for the museums' summer and winter children's art camps and workshops.
Grace spent five years as a member of the board of a non-profit fine arts organization: serving as co-editor of the newsletter for the first two years and as Director of Promotion for three years. As a member of that association, Grace was one of the founders of the association's contemporary art gallery at the Santora Arts Building in Santa Ana, CA and serving as a member of the gallery committee for two years, stepping into the role as Curator and Gallery Director for two years. During her time as Curator, Grace recruited and built gallery membership and established the annual juried competition for contemporary art exhibited in the gallery.
